The Struggle

Makes You Stronger

The Value of Failure

What makes Bulletproof Ballerina training different from other cross-training and fitness methods?

Lifting HEAVY weights. Embracing the struggle. Accepting failure.

The real value of working out is that it challenges you -- both physically and mentally. Lifting heavy weights that are a true struggle to master transforms both your body and spirit. My Bulletproof Ballerina method often involves reaching muscle failure, where even if you are trying your hardest, you can't budge the weight.

Overcoming this challenge is what changes you -- physically by creating microtears in your muscles that get reinforced and make you stronger...and mentally by encountering failure & difficulty and not backing down. This teaches you on a subconscious level that "failure" does NOT destroy you. So, when you encounter difficulties in everyday life that threaten your confidence, you can trust yourself to handle them. They might cause pain and might be hard to deal with...but they won't annihilate you. In fact, somewhere deep down there will be a sense that you'll learn from them and become stronger.

Most people treat workouts like a performance. They want to be proficient at them, look good, or be the "best" in the gym. But your workout is not for everyone else. It's for you. It's a solo journey. It's a crucible you willingly put yourself through to become better on the other side. But in order to do that, whether you are a dancer, an athlete, or a normal human just trying to live your best life, you have to be willing to deal with the discomfort and struggle of the challenge.

If you want to use your workouts to level up and improve your body and mind...you shouldn't feel "good" at them. You should feel challenged by them. And that's hard. Nobody wants to feel like you are struggling. But learning to embrace that, to welcome failure, is key to your transformation.

In fact, you shouldn't think of mastering your workout at all....but of mastering your body through the challenge you are putting it through. Mastering your mind when those mental demons tell you to give up and slink away from the difficulty at hand. This is how you build a better version of yourself. Not by following a fitness trend and looking good at the gym. But by focusing on YOU and how you can optimize your body and mind to make them better equipped to handle life's challenges.

Your confidence doesn't come during the workout itself. It comes afterwards, when you know you didn't back down or cower at the challenge. You welcomed the work, embraced the struggle, accepted failure...and came out stronger on the other end. This is what it means to be built not born. And this is where real self-worth comes from.

Learn to value failure. The struggle makes you stronger.
