Online Workouts

50% Discount Code

Well, this is certainly an unprecedented and strange situation we are living in right now, huh? Whoa. What a whirlwind it's been!

I've been getting a lot of requests for more online workouts like the one I did on Instagram LIVE last week. In case you missed it, here's the link:

But, the truth is, I'm reluctant to do more because I can't take care of your fitness and health needs with these general open workouts (I'll explain why below). Plus, the internet and social media are saturated with online workouts and ballet classes right now. And, I'm guessing as a dancer you are panicking that you can't go to your normal ballet class and trying to "consume" as many of these workouts & classes as possible. No?

Your mental demons are probably driving you nuts. Each morning you wake up with all this time on your hands and overwhelming decisions to make as to which workouts to do and what classes to take. Yet no matter how much you do, your demons will never be satisfied. How do I know this? Because I know how my previous mindset would have reacted in this situation, back when my demons were running the show:

Setting: situation that disrupts your regular routine

Cue: sudden and immediate panic, anxiety, & self-doubt

  • "You're going to get so out of shape!"
  • "You'll get fat just sitting around your house all day!"
  • "You'll lose everything you've worked so hard for!"
  • "All the other dancers are doing all these classes online...so I must do them all too or I'll fall behind!"
  • "You're not doing enough...do more more more!"

Panic. Panic. And more panic. Your nervous system is probably on fire right now worrying about how to keep yourself in shape without your usual routine. You feel pressured to do as many of these online workouts and classes as possible to stay on top of your game. Your demons are having a field day with all this -- making you feel guilty for not doing "enough." No matter how many classes & workouts you follow along with, they always find a way to fuel that nugget of self-doubt and guilt you into doing more. So instead of feeling satisfied for getting a workout in for the day and doing the best you can with this situation...you just feel more anxiety about the next thing you "should" be doing.

Well, I don't want to add to that panic. Plus, when you are flitting between one kind of random cross-training workout to another, you may not be getting the results you actually desire. With drop-in open workouts like this that aren't consistent and progressive, I can't take care of you or guarantee your results like I want to.

But, with a long-term program that is progressive over time, you can actually get somewhere with your fitness and health. Not to mention, you can focus your attention on a particular goal and shut those demons down with a steady plan of action. A program gives you a systematic approach with your cross-training. That means each week you'll have a plan for when to work out and what those workouts will look like. It takes the guesswork out of deciding how best to keep your body primed. Then, on the days you don't work out, you can take a ballet barre in your kitchen or do some stretching and mobility work. But at least you can be confident your cross-training needs are covered and on track.

So, in response to all this and the changing times we are in, I want to encourage you to try one of my two favorite online programs. Both of these workouts can be done online at home with little or no equipment. Here are some of the key elements to each program:

  • KEY TO YOUR CORE
    • 6 weeks of progressive workouts (18 workouts total)
    • No equipment required
    • Core focused...but enhances full-body coordination and strength
    • Each workout takes 15-20 minutes (but it's intense!)
  • BECOMING BULLETPROOF - LEVEL 1
    • 8 weeks of progressive workouts (16 workouts total)
    • Requires free weights (dumbbells/kettlebells or heavy objects found around the house) and adjustable ankle weights (up to 10 pounds)
    • Basic full-body cross-training along with specialty exercises designed for dancers' needs
    • Each workout takes about 30 minutes

I'm running a special discount during this next week to help with your financial situation, as well. Use the promo code "corona" (all lowercase) at checkout to get lifetime access to both of these online workouts for 50% off through Friday, March 27, at midnight.

Promo code: corona

(valid through 3/27 at midnight)

I'm also offering one-on-one private training session via Zoom. Reach out to me for more info if you are interested in working with me in a custom workout experience.

These are scary times where we don't know what will happen next. All we can do at this point is adapt to the current situation and keep putting one foot in front of the other to keep moving in a positive direction. Or, you can crumple in fear and panic. But I believe we are all stronger than that.

Stay strong and sassy, Bad Girls! We'll get through this together!
